Although I only need glasses for reading and using electronics, Helen was able to advise what type of glasses were right for me. Thank you to the wonderful team at Base curve Optical for the help in choosing a blue light reduction set of glasses. I had been getting headaches and sore eyes from longer than usual time infront of the office computer screens and needed help. i have never had glasses before but they have been a brillent solution with instant results! Lucija also sorted out both of my children with an eye test from the inhouse optometrist and my son with a selection of sports glasses bor basket ball and football. Very happy family.

I booked an appointment for myself at Base Curve Optical the other day through the phone. Attended today and was greeted by Lucija (the owner) quite warmly. Then Helen (The Optometrist) checked my eyes and explained every step of the process. Luckily everything was perfect. Thank you Helen. I also bought a pair of sunglass as mine was due for renewal after four years. It has a light frame with a minimalist design. Great experience and professional team, and good value for money. Went there for my son who needed contact lenses. Service is great, they spent a lot of time with him explaining and showing how to put in and take out the contact lenses. Lucija is very friendly and highly professional. Great experience!

I simply can not explain how happy I am with my new glasses. After years of not being able to read content on the tv, I made an appointment to see the team at Base Curve Optical. I have had a few issues in the past with my left eye. The staff took a lot of time to review everything to get my prescription as good as possible. I instantly liked my glasses. Something I could not have said in the past. Driving, reading, computing, tv, cinema. The staff took the time to work out what worked best for me and also a great fit too. Will I be back? For sure. After seeing a few opticians, I had very mixed up eye examination results for soft lenses, gas permeable lenses, and eye glasses. For example, with the former prescriptions I could not see clearly for distance such as reading street name signs and suffered headaches. I walked past the new optical shop in Station St., Sandringham and decided to get an unbiased optical report. After weeks of measurements and trials with various lenses I can now safely and enjoyably see again! The patience and assistance and professionalism I experienced at Base Curve Optical has been nothing less than excellent. I highly recommend Base Curve Optical company for those needing excellent lenses and for those in need of cycling/golfing protective glasses. I am indebted to their conscientious and professional service.

Best place to get your scripted glasses sorted

I was due for a eye sight assessment and was lucky to book between lockdowns… I was reassured that my eyesight was very good despite all the zooming and not related to my headaches … I did have to upgrade my eyewear and the support and guidance that I experienced between Helen and Lucija to keep going to find the right solution was exceptional .. I am so so happy with my new eyewear thank you all

Highly recommended as the place to go with those with eye problems or for those like myself unaware that their eyes could be better. I used to walk past each morning to pick up my paper from the Newsagent a few doors up. A couple of weeks ago I spoke to Lucija and was fascinated in how many charitable things she was involved in for those less fortunate. Whilst talking she suggested that I get Helen to check my eyes and after a comprehensive test discovered a pair of glasses would improve my sight.She also advised me that my Medical Fund would cover the cost which they did. The best thing I can say after wearing my new glasses for the last 2 weeks is that I can now read the paper clearly each day even though news is not that good. The good news is the formation of Base Curve Optical means an excellent Optometrist is now on our doorsteps and thanks Lucija for that. Plenty of specs to choose from so definitely worth a visit.
